Sharp family after 1841
« on: Sunday 25 June 17 18:13 BST (UK) »
1841 Ferryhill/Merrington Durham H0107/304/15/6/7

David Sharp 40
Margaret Sharp 35
James Sharp 13
David Sharp 2

I have found the marriage for David and Margaret and found baptisms for their children (and those not on 1841 census).

I am having trouble finding them after 1841 - (James 1851 servant)
Possible burial for David Sharp snr 1844 Ferryhill (ref DRO) but I can't find reference anywhere if I wanted to buy death certificate - Margaret could have remarried if this is the case but tried looking for David Sharp jnr with no luck.

Thankyou.

Durham Chronicle 27 September 1844

A labourer David Sharp residing at Ferryhill met with an untimely death on Wednesday night. Whilst unloading stone from a railway wagon. A large stone forced him out of the wagon and fell on top of him, killing him on the spot.

Could this be David Sharp's death that you have in 1844?
