Hi still looking but I believe he married Bessie Jones December qtr 1907 Atherstone 6d 852, a Bessie SHARP died September qtr 1929 Atherstone 6d 524 aged 62, also James SHARP died June qtr 1943 Atherstone 9d 585 aged 78

I too think he married Bessie Jones -but cannot finbd a record of them together

I think James Sharpe bn 1865 and Bessie Jones bn 1856.
Had 1 son Albert Sharpe bn 1873 Glascote mrd Eliza Jones bn 1874 Warks. Married 12 May 1896.
They had 3 children. William H. Sharpe bn 1897. Francis M. Sharpe bn 1898. and Albert S. Sharpe bn 1900 all Warks?

Born 1865 he can't have had a son in 1873.
James Sharp married Mary Grimley 1866.
This James Sharp was born 1849 Staffs.

James can be found in all the published censuses.  We can't give you detailed information from the 1911 census, but a free search suggests he's there as James Sharpe, and that he and Bessie were not enumerated together.  He appears to have stayed local to Polesworth, but his birthplace sometimes appears as Birchmoor or Birchmore.

The couple do not appear to have had any children, but that is unsurprising as Bessie would (if born in 1856 as you say) have been over 50 at the time of their marriage.

Hi again, the Bessie Sharp death I show in 1929 suggests b c 1867, what evidence do you have that the Bessie Jones who married James in 1907 was born c 1856?
