I think this is him in the 1940 census listed as Aaron - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K4J2-66Y  The 497 on the street number matches the address on the WWII draft registration card, and the prior page says it was Beacon.

Per Social Security claims, Ayrton Brundit born 20 Apr. 1889 died 13 Aug. 1954.  There was a death claim made on 17 Sep. 1954.

Massachusetts death index has Brundrit, Ayrton died 1954 in Boston.

It looks like Ayrton filed 2 different Declaration of Intentions.  One is from 12 Jan. 1927.  That one says he was married to Nellie, who was residing at Coniston, Lancashire, England.  Another one was filed 14 Mar. 1941 and said Nellie was deceased.

His petition for naturalization from 3 Nov. 1943 says that Nellie never entered the US.  The witnesses for that petition said that they had known Ayrton since 1931 and he had lived in the US continuously since then in Watertown, Waltham, W. Newton, and Boston, Massachusetts.  The witnesses were an oil service man and a mechanic, so presumably they were co-workers.

It looks like there were funeral notices in the Boston Herald and Boston Traveler for Ayrton on 17 and 18 Aug. 1954.  This is a subscription site, but you can see a bit of the results from scrolling around - http://www.rootschat.com/links/01kax/
