Hi

I was hoping that someone could copy a record for me which is housed in Wellington for my Spence family.

The Thomas Spence you posted isnt the same as my one so its likely your one is linked to the inquest given its stated in the story.

Just curious about this not being the correct Thomas.

Died 16.01.1875

1875/2847   Spence   Thomas**   24Y

**Died 19.02.1875

I am familiar with the region of Hawkesbury [Archives listing], the area mentioned in the inquest in Papers Past is close by.

[ I can only see one inquest listed in Archives for a Thomas Spence in 1875.]

Your original links were to a different Thomas Spence. Your links say an inquest was going to be held. It would make more sense for the file I originally requested to be the inquest of the Thomas Spence who died in February 1875 rather than mine who died in January 1875 otherwise it would have been a 2 month period for the inquest.

The inquest file is dated 15 March 1875

Id rather not add to Spades workload by requesting an incorrect file but if you think that it could still refer to the Thomas Spence who died in January Ill ask Spades if he could copy it.

Not a problem. There is only one inquest file for a Thomas Spence that I can see at Archives. Just curious as to which Thomas it refers to. The one in the newspaper link, or the other one. :)
