I am working on my Hanmer relatives from West Derby, Liverpool. Has anyone come across a Robert Hanmer, b. 1720 (Guilsfield, Montgomeryshire ?) I think he  Married Anne Eash from Halkin, in Mold 28/12 1754. I am interested in finding out any further information.

Thank you keyboard.
I have also seen on findmypast, the entry for Robert. Also a marriage to Anne Eash, Halkin, in 1754. But I am not 100% sure this is my Robert. And I have no leads as to who his parents were. Was hoping someone has researched this family line and can lead me in the right direction.
Jo

Thank you very much. And also for the welcome  :)
So if I understand this right. If we are looking at the same parents, they had 3 sons that they named Robert ? Or that it is 2 different set of parents, and the ones in Bistree named 2 of their boys Robert ? I guess the first one could have died very young, and they then named the next one Robert as well. Or how reliable are the years in the records ? I'm still fumbling my way through here, but have noticed on census records, that it can vary a bit, what birth year they put down for the same people.
You find out something, and then there is a million new questions !   ;)

Hi Jo.

I was looking into some Hanmers for a friend of mine and I was wondering if you may have come across any of these in your searches:

Massie Walley Hanmer b about 1797
Thomas Hanmer b about 1776 in Overton, Cheshire
Or any Hanmers in St Albans.

Thanks, Eric.

Jo,
first,  apologies for not responding earlier
second - apologies for posting the incorrect details for the 9 Nov 1755 baptism. It should have read -

Thomas (not Robert) Hanmer, bap 9 Nov 1755, parents Robert and Anne of Mold Parish

(Am checking for a burial of a Robert to account for the 2 Roberts born to Robert and Anne 1758 and 1760)

Cannot spot a burial for a Robert Hanmer to account for a 2nd Robert being baptised to Robert and Anne Hanmer of Bistree. There is a burial for -

Robert Hanmer of Bistree, 30 May 1761

Sorry, not that I can remember off hand. But I will note it down and get back to you if I do.
