GRO double birth entry
« on: Wednesday 28 June 17 20:03 BST (UK) »
Hi I was looking up a GRO birth reference when I noticed that John William Mullenger (Hartismere) 1881 had two references any idea why? Thanks.

Oh I see, the other one indexed on the GRO site gives the same details but 3b 631 (in each case the mother's maiden name is Beaumont).

This one doesn't appear in the printed GRO index, so unless it's just an error I don't know what the explanation would be.

Clearly a GRO error - Hartismere volume number definitely not 3B.
