Hi grahamd15,
John Cecil Waldron was my great grandfather but unfortunately I have not been able to uncover any more information than you have provided.
My father believes that the family surname was changed to Waldron from Stein or Steino but does not know at what stage ( obviously before the marriage in 1897)

If you do find more information about his parents or if he had siblings, I would like to know
Thanks
James

Hi James,
Why does your father believe that the name was changed from Stein/Steino?
I'll let you know if I can find anything!
Thanks

Not sure if you are aware that you can now order an uncertified copy of a WA bdm certificate for A$20. This is a copy of the certificate but cannot be used for legal purposes - but perfectly fine for family history!

http://www.bdm.dotag.wa.gov.au/U/uncertified_copies.aspx?uid=1003-4731-8003-7880

I think this may be worth it for the WA marriage, may hold valuable clues.
