Missing relatives

Hi I am new to tracing and have come stuck. I cannot find any death or birth records for 2 of my ancestors. They are William Millar / Miller and Katharine/Catherine Shields. They were married and had children  ( I have those records )who were all born in Falkland Fife Scotland. I have searched birth and death records but to no avail, can anyone help or give me some pointers, I would be grateful' thanks Mandy

You can search for free, but you have to buy credits to see any images.

The information I have is that William MILLAR married Katherine Shields (b 1775 in Dysart).  He was a master tailor and after marriage they lived in Freuchie.  William died before the 1841 census, where Katherine is listed as age 65.  They had William (1802), David (1804) James (1806) Andrew (1808) and Thomas (1814).

I'm afraid I don't have the references for the above.  I have further info on Thomas (1814).
