Marriage of McGraw/Megraw & McAlister/McAllister

I am looking for the marriage of Charles McGraw/Megraw to Kate (Catherine) McAlister/McAllister. Their religion was Roman Catholic.

I believe their first child was John Megraw born in Belfast (Hamilton St.) in 1883. Charles, a sailor, died in 1890 at the age of 29 years (death was registered in Downpatrick). This evidence points to a marriage ca. 1880, but I can find nothing in the civil registration or Roman Catholic records.

Catherine "McGraw" (nee McAlister) was living in Ardglass, Co. Down in 1901 & 1911.

Hi.I have noticed a lot of interest and activity regarding Charles and Kate Megraw.I am their great granddaughter and have all birth,death and marriage certificates for them.Within the family there is no "mystery" that they got married in Cockermouth,England and I can fill in whoever is interested with the necessary details.Also,you are correct, their first born John died the day after he was born.Charles and Kate went on to have three further children.Looking forward to hearing from all interested parties and hoping to be of help to you.AC
