Emily Lily Friend

I would like to find where Emily was born if possible. My guess is somewhere around Greenwich 1862-67.Her parents were John James Friend and Victoria Matilda Heddle. Victoria baptised 5 Jul 1837 St Alphage, Greenwich. It appears from freebmd that John James Friend and Victoria Matilda Heddle married 1859 Greenwich. In 1861 John J(1838) and Victoria M(1840) Friend show up in Deptford. I can not see them in 1871 but in 1881 a Victoria Friend(1844) and Lily Friend(1867) are in Greenwich.
An Emily Friend(1867) lands in Quebec 13 Aug 1882 and at some date marries a John Keiver and raises a family in Kent County, Ontario. Children births show her as Emily Lily Friend and subsequent marriage shows her parents as John James Friend and Victoria M Haddle.
Mrs V M Friend arrives Quebec 29 Apr 1889 with destination Chatham which is near where Emily Lily lives and remarries and dies 12 Jun 1929 Chatham
I just need a paper connection Emily/Lily to John and Victoria

John James FRIEND married Victoria Matilda HEDDLE at St Nicholas Deptford on 12 Dec 1859. He was an Undertaker. Image on Ancestry.

Well I had a look around and finally found the 1881 census you referred to, it took a while as she is not Emily on that but Lily. I also note that she is Lillie Emily on at least one of the marriages of her children so what is her real name Emily Lilly or Lillie Emily ? Alas I have not found anything to help as cannot find the family in 1871 and cannot find Emily (or Lilly) in the school records.

There does not appear to be either a birth record or baptism for Emily (at least not in online records)

There is however this burial that may be for John and getting it may help with an address to trace back to 1871 (a longshot)

Failing that as Emily's children's marriages seem to confirm the link it would be worth seeing if you can turn up Emily and John's marriage somewhere

Thanks for having a look David. Working with familysearch I was not sure whether or not there might be a baptism online somewhere. A marriage for John and Emily would be great but he is census shy. Although being born about 1847 I can only find him in 1901. The earliest child birth registration is 1892 Chatham so I would have expected a 90/91 marriage in Ontario somewhere. I checked Keiver deaths 1890-1900 to see if there may have been any children born earlier but none show.

When John James Friend married Victoria Matilda Heddle his father named John a Mariner, her father
John a Pilot. Witnesses are John Friend and Sarah Friend (his parents)
