Has anyone access to church records for this one say St Albans  Heworth?
When did Marriages in Local Papers take off?

I have noticed that the more wealthier the couple are (or their family) the better the chance of a marriage being published. Seems so obvious.

Same as a birth or a death.

There was an obituary taken out of a listing  for a Ken Robson but the one I'm looking at was b 2 June 1928  Difficult to trace either. They had 1 son

If you have the son's details you could look for his birth to find his mothers maiden name
