William Parker's headstone wording
« on: Tuesday 04 July 17 11:41 BST (UK) »
I hope I have posted this to the correct place.
William Parker died in 1865 in Codnor, Derbyshire.  William is buried at Saint James’s Church in Codnor.  I located a photograph of his headstone on the Find a Grave website but it is not possible to read the wording on the internet.  I live in Australia so visiting the church is not an option.  If any helpful Rootschat members live near Saint James’s church perhaps they could see if the inscription is easier to read in person.

Thank you for your help.

The first part says, 'In memory of William Parker who died February 18th 1865, aged 30 years. This stone was erected by the teachers ...'

Thank you Geoff-E and Jamjar for your quick answers.  Geoff, I have requested a photograph as you suggested.  Jamjar thanks for your transcription of William's headstone.  The teachers reference has me curious, so it will be more digging.  Your assistance is appreciated.
