There is a marriage in West Ham district in September Q 1934 of Elsie Stanley and Joseph H Marks.

Two possible children are registered, one in East Ham district in 1936, and one in Ilford district in 1940.

1939 register shows a Joseph H Marks in Ilford, b. 26 June 1908. The two following occupants are redacted, but Joseph is married so probably these are Elsie and the elder child.

A couple of doors down the street is a Harry Stanley b. 2 May 1916

Joseph Henry Marks  b. 26 June 1908 death was registered in Northampton district in 1975.
Elsie Marks b. 9 August 1910 death was registered in Northampton district 1996.

Thank you Galium, very enlightening and I also found Harry's demise in Surrey NW in April 1993 as had his dob from the 1939 but whether he was married it's difficult to know.
