Do you have his fathers name & occupation.  Where do you have him on census.

Births were not necessarily registered at this time so there may not be a certificate  ;)

What evidence have you got to confirm that birth is incorrect?

Is he the 13 year old with parents George & Jane plus 8 siblings?

Have you got a marriage for George & Jane? **

Checking out the children there is Sarah born Lincoln 1870 - possible birth with mothers name Attrick.

Birth for Samuel Attrick Parnham 1865 Workshop - none of which is finding Richard's birth but might help.

** Now there's a marriage in Worksop 1866 with George Parnham Jane Attrick

Who were named as the parents on the 1858 Worksop birth you sent for?  Mothers name Wilson.

There is this marriage in East Retford 1852 with

George Parnham
Jane Hooson
John Ramsdall
Sarah Wilson

Might be going off track but throwing it in there just in case George remarried and Sarah was mother of Richard and possibly some of the other children.

Thomas Parnham born 1860 Worksop has mothers name Wilson so I think you might have the right one after all if parents are George and Sarah (fingers crossed!)

Just out of idle curiosity; I looked for both Parnham and Attrick, in the BOB. Neither came up  ???

Excuse my ignorance but what is the BOB?

If rosieM could confirm details from the Worksop 1858 birth and why it is wrong maybe we can move forward on the right track :)

:-X Sorry, Miliepede. I forget not everyone's used to me saying that. The Book of Bob, as I call it. Click my 'Home Page' button, to the above left there  ;)
