It could be her, can't find any other contenders  :-\
Any Ideas if the Jane Wilson ( mother of the first batch of kids) and Jane Attrick mother of the second batch are one and the same?  Cant find any wedding for GP to a Wilson. How do I get to the truth? Thanks

How do I get to the truth?

Painstaking research, Rosie. Fingertip searching. Fully papered. From our own Birth Certificates. Back. Through our parents. And theirs. And so on.

Moment ye can't find a paper able rellie? STOP! Sit there, like a toad. Call them / it a Brick Wall.

Casting around for peeps to hammer in, on the basis that " THIS could be them ..... " Chuck in a bit of; " What if ....? ". Ye gonna make a rod for ye own back  :(

I speak with the best will. I spent ages, and lots of energy, believing one of my peeps must have been dashing between places, telling the Enumerator different stories.

Why couldn't I just see there were two, even three, people with the same names, in one small area?  ::) It happens.

Work with the paper. It's in there  8)

Im about to cut my losses. Cant go forward as both my gg fathers were brothers😨 and their father was born between census. Is there any other way to track/find the man who supposedly was with their mother? Ive 2 birth certs and and maybe a birth where the child died the next year. Theres nothing but the parents names. Im not sure they even exist..apart from my gggfathers birth registry suggesting his mother did give birth before she met my mans stepfather. Its all covered under earlier posts on Richard Parnham /George Parnham and George Price on roots😨😦😣😩😵

Who were named as the parents on the 1858 Worksop birth you sent for?  Mothers name Wilson.

There is this marriage in East Retford 1852 with

George Parnham
Jane Hooson
John Ramsdall
Sarah Wilson

Might be going off track but throwing it in there just in case George remarried and Sarah was mother of Richard and possibly some of the other children.

Thomas Parnham born 1860 Worksop has mothers name Wilson so I think you might have the right one after all if parents are George and Sarah (fingers crossed!)

Sadly George and Sarah didn't marry.. I sent for the cert😥
