Harcourt and Violet had a son Leonard Robert William who died in 1941. This thank you note says grandson of W E HARTNETT of Redfern and R GRAHAM of Willoughby.

There is also a death registered in Redfern in 1944 for William Edward HARTNETT, aged 85. A possibility for Harcourt's father?

There are a lot of "ifs" here, but the death above of William Edward HARTNETT (death notice here):

shows birth in Bombay, India in 1860. Familysearch have his baptism 13 May 1859 (birth 30 March 1859) at Ahmedabad, Bombay, with parents William and Ellen. The service record also mentions wife, Elizabeth and 2 children.

William's family appear in the 1871 census at Lepton, Yorkshire:

Oh ... maybe I wasn't on the wrong track, just rereading  the link JJ provided in reply #1, it seems he was brought by William and Elizabeth.

I think you are on the right track?  Elizabeth was his second wife I think he was married to Agnes Williams first so some children she probably had and Elizabeth probably had some as well.  But I don't know which one's belong to each wife. I think from the info I have been given Agnes died in 1907 in Sydney, NSW.
