Hmm, will make a note of John Collins Ince. Seems too young to be William's brother, but you never know. Could be nephew or cousin.

I'm just looking at the original 1851 census. FindMyPast had "Ince" transcribed as "Juice"!!!

Would it be possible to find a birth/baptism for John, I wonder? Maybe William was stationed at Gibraltar in the army? I just had to look up where Gibraltar was! (I'm in Australia)

Yes that is right John is Amelias Brother I would say.

Could William Collins Ince died in Gibraltar?

I am sure there is a way of finding Johns Baptism (sure i've seen them found on threads before) but not sure how.
