George married Nancy !5th September 1851 ( ? aged 18) in L,pool.
His father given as Edward Wilson, an Officer in H M Customs.

I have been unable to find George or his family either before or after 1861, Nor can I find Edward in any census.
More than grateful for any help. Thanks

George Wilson (father John Wilson) married Mary Ann Wilson (father Edward Wilson occ Tallow Chandler) so the 'brothers were Mary Anns not Georges  ;D  Marriage was 11 Sept 1837

That is an excellent find Rosie  ;D

In looking for George & Nancy post 1861, I note from some of the baptism records George's occupation wobbles about - and curious as to why son John might be baptised twice  ???

George WILSON  (GRO: SQ1861, mms Sefton)
   B 18 Jun 1861, bp  30 Jun 1861, George WILSON & Nancy
   Liverpool St Peter
   Abode: Grosnevor Street, Occ: Engineer

Hannah WILSON
   B Aug 1863, bp 23 Aug 1863, George WILSON & NANCY
   Liverpool St Peter
   Abode: Baptist Street, Occ: Labourer
(not sure about this one ? Can't see a birth registration with a mms Sefton?)

John WILSON (GRO: SQ1864, mms Sefton)
   B 16 Aug 1864, bp 13 Nov 1864, George WILSON & Nancy
   Liverpool St Peter
Abode: Thurlow Street. Occ: Boiler Maker
   and another baptism:
   B 7 Aug 1864, bp 25 Oct 1864, George WILSON & Nancy
   Liverpool Christ Church
Abode: 2 Court Thurlow Street No 1.  Occ: Labourer

George WILSON (GRO: Jun Qtr 1866, mms SEPHTON)
   B 15 May 1866, bp 28 May 1866, George WILSON & Nancy
   Liverpool St Peter
   Abode: Thurlow Street. Occ: Labourer

Didn't find George and Nancy post 1861.....but at an address in Thurlow Street in 1871:

1871 CENSUS: Thurlow Street, 2 House, Court 2
RG10 / Piece 3790 / Folio 107 / Pg35
Head: Watkin SEFTON 28, Married, Moulder, b Liverpool
Wife: Mary (or Marg't) 27, b Hull, Yorkshire
Dau: Hannah 5, b Liverpool
Dau: Mary Jane 1, b Liverpool
Servant: Mary Jane SMITH 15, b Liverpool

Cheers

Thank you all for your help, really appreciated. Was hoping to  maybe discover Edwards wife's name, but at least now have the reason for him not ring on anyensus as he had died before 1841! Thanks again.
