marshall family
« on: Sunday 09 July 17 15:18 BST (UK) »
I wonder if anyone can help me find William Marshall or Edith Bell?
All I know from their son's birth certificate is that William Marshall (deceased formerly of Toronto,Canada) was the father, the mother was Edith Marshall, formerly Bell.
They lived at what looks like 18,Grenville  Road or even Terrace(the handwriting is terrible)
This was in 1922 in Belfast Urban no.13.
I have found a Granville Terrace and a Greenville Road but can't these two people
I also have no idea of their age.Would be most grateful for any help

May not be connected but there is a Edith Bell (single) in Armagh with a William Bell, born in Canada, who appears to be her son.

There's a Granville St. in Belfast. 1924 directory- remember that only head of household will be listed-
http://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/gcomplete1924.htm
Also a Grenville Road but #18 being built.

An Edith Marshall died 1940 (age 46), buried Belfast City Cemetery- several others buried in same plot-

What is the source of the 1922 address?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks very much, the burial sounds promising. I found the information on William and Edith's son's birth certificate. The child was William Herbert Watson Marshall. It seems that the father died before WHW.Marshall was born in 1922 and the child was given up for adoption by the mother
