So - 1901 Walter is widowed, and listed as b walthamstow, althuogh registers suggest he actually came from Hull and his middle name was also spelled Hildred.

There are two obvious children b West Ham, Elizabeth May in 1903 and Sarah Louisa in 1904

Can't find the family in 1911 or any suggestion of what happened to Walter. Wonder if they went overseas for a while
