The DOB's all seem to be in line with what is known as well as location. Are these the SSDI records for Charles, Mary & Mary's brother James F. ?

Did you get his birth date from his birth certificate? If not then its unreliable.

Thanks for all the info. Yes I got the DOB from his birth certificate. He was born on 15 Corn Street, Glasgow. Anyway, I'm curious how to find any children he had?

Mary's death looks about right. To confirm I guess we'd need her Birth Certificate or Birth Record showing that DOB of 16 July 1907? It would be in Connecticut.

I don't think there's anything comprehensive online for Connecticut birth records from that time frame.

I suppose then it would have to be a case of digging out Mary's death record somehow. What about kids? Do you think they may have not had any? I noticed Charles' address was different from the mid 1940s onwards. I wonder if that was work related or if they were just separated?

The city directories typically only list adults.  You would probably need to find an obituary for one of them to see if there were any children.

I know this thread is old. I was coming back to whether he had any children, and where I might find local newspaper records concerning that? I suspect he didn't but we can't be sure. Mary Sullivan seems to have died November 1980, which might be a place to start.

A few years later now, there is a New Jersey death index online, which has a death for Mary M. Gallagher, age 73, on 23 Nov 1980 in East Orange, Essex Co.  The Social Security number matches the one on the Social Security death index who was born 16 Jul 1907.
