Re the relatives Birmingham , gee i have to run and havent got time to  absorb it grrrr
Also - reading the Old Bailey site it  explains the original records were all taken in shorthand   and  use caution ----so it explains  the even above normal  issues around spelling etc ..

Yes would love to find  some, i found one in Tasmanian whose sister was doing the research but  was not really wanting any contact i felt from her  after PM on Ancestry .

Have been trying to post but not sure why its not loading ill have another go .

I have been trying to find admission records for St Pancras  W/house for 1815 but no luck .
There is a Ben there but many decades after

I have Susan Leatts brother Benjaimin Leatt  being Baptised aged 15 yr in the workhouse,     so had hoped to find  his admission/ discharge  records  to read more on him /family  etc

I have found his Baptism record -

Parish of St Pancras in Middlesex
Baptised 18/11/1880 -reg 1881
Parents John & Susannah   Leatt (I know she  was  Nee  Draper  )

ABODE .......................Workhouse

Born - 5/3/1815

Gee were they all in there ??

Sue

Thankyou so much Lily  :)

I have been trying to work out if those guardian records  on Ancestry  have any sort of search function but as they have not been transcribed  yet there are just tons of them  with no real way to narrow down  finding them except  trawling through the tons of records which is just too much , the only  real search parameters are  Camden and St pancras and then  there is just tons of  records, i guess they just haven got to them yet  but such a pity as  i was hoping to  be able to find the Leatts in there,  or   even get into Benjamins records.

Have just seen a huge typo of mine -
i have /or predictive text --  written Benjamin was baptised in  1880 -  he was baptised in 1830   at the age of 15 years old in the workhouse .

The  record says its the St Pancras in Middlesex so i presume he is in the   St Pancras workhouse, ..so i have mis read it forgetting he was 15 yr old  and not a baby of  course,,,, so  the family is  possibly  there  or anywhere  i guess . You can  search the name you want ,   with the borough   etc  but its not much help if   like i said before you still have to trawl  tons of records .

Anyway thank you again Lilly for finding that for me
Sue

Looking at the Browse section, it seems to me that the only records they have for St. Pancras are Order of Removals

Oh theres quite a few if you open the drop down menu, admissions discharges  children lunatics  and more and more  i spent hours last night  but really  its  just too big   with out a better search function   i dont see why you even get the  option to put   their name  it makes no difference at all  really  because the only actual   thing you can  choose is Borough etc...oh dear back to the drawing board !
