Old Bailey records
https://www.oldbaileyonline.org/forms/formMain.jsp

Searched for "leatt" which threw up an 1821 record - though age does not tally and mentions a child.
There are 3 records on FindMyPast - one of which has place of birth " St Pancras".

One of the half dozen FindMyPast records for Susannah Leake 1822 has place of birth "St Pancras" (trial also available on Old Bailey records)

This could be Susan:

Middlesex Criminal Register - 1821

Susannah Leatt age 16

Larceny   -   6 months

There's a fine line between St.Pancras and Marylebone, so this could be a possible baptism.  Maybe?

St. Marylebone
Born 1805      Baptised 25/10/1807

Susanna Leatt  dau. of John and Susanna

A good possible because her younger brother was baptised in St Pancras, so the family was probably living nearby at one point and a 'native of St Pancras' can mean she was merely living there not baptised there

Brother?
Benjamin Leatt
birth:   5 March 1815
christening:   18 November 1830   OLD CHURCH, SAINT PANCRAS, LONDON, ENGLAND
father:   John Leatt
mother:   Susannah

Sister?
Caroline Leatt
birth:   5 March 1807
christening:   25 October 1807   SAINT MARY-ST MARYLEBONE ROAD, ST MARYLEBONE, LONDON, ENGLAND

Brother in the census?
Benjamin Leake
1841
County, London, Middlesex
Year 1841
Birth Year 1816
Age 25
Registration District, Strand

Unless she had been married and Leatt/Leak/Leat was not her birth surname
Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)

Hi everyone
Thanks so much for your replies !

Yes  i have all her  Australian info, I'm in Aust and have her  *primary marriage docs confirming  her 3  marriages  to
Plummer Flashman Jones
And the leats  surname  thrown in has of course provided some  real  possibility  of her name being Leats.  From memory she did use Leats in her marriage to Plummer .

He actually deserted her and at end of sentence returned to UK and died a pauper in Shoreditch  pretty young .

In her Newgate record they say " Been in Newgate before"  so i am  hoping her identity had  been confirmed as Leake in UK pre  transportation ...

I found a heap of very early census  from Middlesex on FindMyPast  and lots of Leaks around  Middlesex,  but I'm really not sure how ill ever nail Susan family origin down, i had really hoped i would find her first Newgate admission and get  some info  from that i hadn't seen before .    She was caught in Clare Market  so presuming she lived not too far away .
