I think you might need to clarify this a bit Phil.  :)

Are you looking for the exact date of marriage? If you don't know the exact date of marriage, how do  you know that the marriage took place in Hereford Cathedral?

You have a huge year variation - why?

the only record I can find for a James Jarrett in that timeframe on familysearch is
James Jarrett christened 25th May 1671 Kentchurch,Hereford -father Stephen mother Jane
far too many Margaret Rawlings in that timeframe
oakes,liverpool..neston..backford..poulton cum spittal(bebington)middlewich,cheshire......   sacht,helgoland  .......merrick,herefordshire adams,shropshire...tipping..ellis..  jones,garston,liverpool..hartley.dunham massey..barker. salford

Oh, I thought that the marriage took place between 1670 and 1720. Oops.  :)

NO -You are right Ruskie - what I am saying is the only record on IGI in that timeframe is a Christening - No marriages show for a James Jarrett - just one christening

I believe the cathedral also acted as the parish church of St. John, I think these records are in the cathedral library.

Mike

Added, they are also on the Igi, but no Jarrett or Rawlings although there are other marriages between those two dates

A 50 year marriage range is something I have never seen before.  :) Someone is covering all bases. :D

See if the relative can tell you more.
