Next time anyone is accessing Darlaston or Walsall Baptisms would you mind have a look for me to see if there are any parents recorded for a Jane Fiddler in Q2 1883.

Jane has mmn recorded on the GRO index, suggesting illegitimacy.

There's one Fiddler family in the district, and the obvious candidate for mother from 1881 is Emily, b c 1864

Emily Fiddler marries in 1885 - she appears to be an additional spouse with the wrong number, but other sources, and using GRO, suggests she marries William Osman

1891 in Widnes

Emily Osman    27 -  b Wednesbury,
Jane Osman    8 - b Darlaston
Florence Osman    3 - b Darlaston
Mary Osman    4/12 - b Widnes

Jane Osman is presumably Jane Fiddler - there's no matching birth registration

No clear indication who her father is though

Jane Osman is a servant in Darlaston in 1901. there's a marriage in west Bromwich of a Jane Fiddler in 1903 - one possible spouse is Stephen Cotton, and think this is her on 1911
