Eastley Wootton - New Milton
« on: Thursday 13 July 17 12:29 BST (UK) »
On the map:

http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=17&lat=50.7886&lon=-1.6546&layers=168&right=BingHyb

There are some buildings either called, or located in Eastley.  These have been redeveloped into 4 1980's houses, and my friend lives in one of them.

We have been trying to find out what the original buildings were - a manor house, a farm? Google has not been able to help sadly.  We'd love to find a name!

Any ideas?

Have you looked in the original plans to see if there is information about the previous building?

Chempat, well found!!  I tied to search planning and didn't find it before your link.

On the map on your link - bingo. The house was called Eastley.  As simple as that.

You are a real star, thank you so much!!!

Just came across this post which is 2 years ago now - but in case David Posnett wants information - the house on the site at Eastley Wootton was a extensive 12-bed house with walled garden, cottage, coachhouse, barns, stables and kennels - my godparents lived there in the 1970s and we have photos if you are interested
