hello campers

Does anyone have  a grave yard map for the church at St Giles and the little grave yard on the other side of the road

looking for Muir's buried there (no grave stones), kerr's and Dunns

Have you tried contacting the Vicar/Verger at St Giles. The church usually has a plan of the graveyard.

Yes i did, he was helpful but a bit vague. There were 2 graves for Muir's but Couldn't tell me if they were used or not.

As I am looking for a husband and wife the chances are it is the right ones, but he was also a bit vague on the description of where about's they are.

The grave yard a across the road is a simple rectangle without and significant features to get your orientation.

So a cemetery map would be useful, as if i did make the 40 mile journey the likelihood be to see a clear patch of grass anyway.

Was hoping that maybe someone who visits this site may have already done Similar research and have a layout.

the Wouldhorne site has nothing at all about it.

its a shame really as from the odd article i found in the papers around the early 1900's the family helped out at the church here and there.
