James Til(l)cock c.1828 - Toddington - parents and beyond?
« on: Thursday 13 July 17 16:43 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

I've picked up the baton with someone else's tree and would love to be able to find the parents of James Til(l)cock, b.c. 1828 d. 1860 (aged 34, according to the GRO).  He was born in Toddington.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Many thanks,

Emma ;)

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.  There is a William and Elizabeth partnership where William was born in 1774 or so and people have added them as James's parents.  Wondered if he could be the right one, seeing as the age gap was so large, but he seems to be the only option available! :)

As per Toddington parish records:

There is a baptism on 11 Sept 1778 of a William age 2 & Rebecca, son & daughter of William & Ann Tilcock.

Also there is a marriage on 22 Aug 1803 of William Tilcock to Elizabeth Tilcock.

Also a baptism on 6 July 1783 of Elizabeth, daughter of Robert & Mary Tilcock.

Need to establish a death/burial with age hopefully of William & Elizabeth Tilcock to rule them in or out?

Regards John
