I looked up the possible birth of one child as stated by you,found her birth and marriage,to William
then had a look on ancestry,
their address being in 1963,50 Sixth Street,Hunter Weston,New South Wales,
Put in a search on ancestry world wide for them and i came up with
Freemantle Westrn Australian passengers
Departed London,arrived Sydney December 1961
ship,Stratheden
 J Grint,WH Grint and Master W Grint,address c/o 73 Fourth St Weston,Via Maitland,NSW

There is a death recorded for
William Henry Grint
aged 50 years
birth date 22nd July 1933
death date Dec 1983
Durham Eastern,Tyne and Wear,
Horden,Peterlee,
there appears to be a few listed in the phone books for 1977 in Peterlee
wonder if they came back to England or this is another man,not a common name

Janet married my uncle Si(y ?)dney Mitchison in 1945. Her daughter Joan, from previous marriage to Albert Mitchison, emigrated to Australia with her husband surname Grint and child. Janet and Sid went out later to live with them where they both died.

Yes. Albert, Sid and my Dad,  John Thomas Mitchison were brothers and they had sisters Helen and Mary.
