Edward Watkins married Sarah Donicott 15.5.1810 St Mary's Shrewsbury

The Edward who was married to Jane is still alive on the 1851 Census he married Jane Windsor 9.10.1803 Ellesmere

I'm leaning towards Edward and Sarah especially as she called her daughter Sarah

Blimey that Blincowe one is a nightmare! I cant find them anywhere!

Ann didn't marry until May 1841 so she should be somewhere on the 1841 census under her maiden name

John Thomas is also hard going as we have nothing to go on except he was born about 1804

There is an Ann Watkins c1811 in Ellesmere with mother Sarah and also a John and Elizabeth Rogers

Ooooh! baptism 20.12.1817 Baschurch Eleanor Watkins parents Edward and Sarah

In that household there is an Eleanor Watkins aged 6 months - grandchild?

Also two baptisms at Fitz Shropshire Thomas 12.2.1815 and Jane 25.4.1813

Just got on line, you have been busy Willow.
Good work.
Yes I agree Edward/Sarah are likely Parents for Mary.
The Blincows are impossible to find.

Off to look at the Census you mentioned.

Even more interesting there is a baptism of an Edward Watkin 23.11.1783 at Fitz mother called Eleanor

Do you know I found a possible burial for Edward at Ellesmere - do you think I can find it again now!  >:(

No looks like the Edward baptised 1783 was buried 12.8.1187 in Fitz

Well thank you folks.  Very much appreciated. Have been away from home for a few days and going away again early next week. (No computer.) A lot to digest I'm thinking.

I have ordered the death cert for Benjamin Blackburn 1893.  (Charles father. )
Buried at Merridale Cemetery, Wolverhampton. 5 Nov 1893.

Cheers
Billxx

Hiya Bill

don't forget that Charles isn't your actual line you need to be following the Thomas one for Ellen and her mother Sarah

Also I don't know if anyone has said that Wolverhampton Archives have a lot of their records online at http://www.wolverhamptonhistory.org.uk/resources/indexes/index.html?sid=ee81a19b82b75d8e4e750b7d1ab3419e

I will keep my eyes open for anything on the Thomas/Watkins line
