Francis McTague immigrated to New Brunswick Canada from County Fermanaugh in 1831, married Mary Kelley. Looking for any information about where in Fermanaugh and any family prior to that time. Name was changed to Montague after immigration.

Do you have a townland name from Fermanagh do you know which ship he went on what did he do for a living did he get married in Canada.

I can understand the change of name from McTague to Montague it is sometime how you say the name.

I don't have a town name. All I have is from the 1851 census in Canada saying he came in 1831 to New Brunswick Canada. Most of the ships passenger lists were destroyed by fire. I think he was born in 1817, so he must have come with a family, but he is the only one who shows coming in that year. He married Mary Kelley, who also came from Ireland, but I think they must have married in New Brunswick, although I don't find a record of the marriage.
