Edward George Benger Powell

I am trying to find out the real name of my grandfather. I was brought up on the understanding that his name was George Edward Benjamin Powell but recently have learnt that his name may have been Edward George Benger Powell.

He was born 7-6-1907 in Bramshott Hampshire and died March 1971 in Petersfield Hampshire. He served in the royal artillery.

His father's name was George Benjamin Powell

Any help would be appreciated many thanks

Birth and Death index both show him as Edward George B Powell.   His birthdate on death index is 7th May 1907 (not June).
