I can't see a death with parents names. There are two with ' unknown' parents, but the ages are somewhat out.

There is a death notice for her hubby on Trove I think.

Cando asked earlier and I also wonder who registered Helen's 1856 birth?

... birth certificate says Hellen Eason b. 11.1.1856 East Ballan, Mt. Blackwood, William 22, Isabella 18, married Malsmbury.  The date has been scratched around and the date has been written over.  Its either 1854 or 1856.  Then underneath it says 1 m. (? married 1 month?)

Thank you Pat.  You aren't the only one with Mary Elizabeth Jane EASON in private tree on Ancestry ;)   I just had a peep and there are numerous.

I note that you haven't completed your profile on Rootschat but you live north of me ;) ;D

Is the place of birth written clearly?  Obviously some doubt about the year of marriage and not the full marriage date.   As according to the newspaper item, Wm died 14 Nov 1855 the time of marriage could not have been one month.  I've never seen that on a birth cert.  Usually under the date and place of marriage are the names of any previous issue of the marriage.  Is Wm noted as deceased?   Who was the informant?

It would be helpful if you could save the certificate as pdf and attach to a post.  By doing that you are not breaching copyright as only the link is shown.

Back to the news clipping where Wm H's property was noted at Green Hills.

Blackwood was originally called Mt.Blackwood with townships of Red Hill, Golden Point, Barry’s Reef and Simmons’ Reef.  Close to Blackwood was Blue Mountain – now called Blue Mount.  Also Green Hills, Greendale, Ballan, and Trentham.  Bacchus Marsh is the closest biggest town before you get to Blackwood and Kyneton the closest town the other way past Blackwood.

There is a Greenhill north west of Malmsbury.

Dear Cando,
Oh my lord, when the Kyneton people searched all those years ago nothing was found.  Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. That changes everything now.  However by the time those two newspaper articles were printed Mary Corby (Eason) and John Dash were living in Stawell and Glenorchy and had left the area. The big question now is did John Corby go off and leave Mary high and dry to make his fortune or not. Her two big brothers have left, one deceased and the other to New Zealand.  We will never know but it is rather intriguing, I wonder what sort of a man would do that to his bride!!!!

The person who informed about the birth was James Charles Smith.

I will try to send that attachment but I am not very confident.

Cheers,
Patricia

Yes I have just blown up the certificate and maybe the 1 m. is correct.  Yes by all means I don't mind if you send me your email address.  I was getting a wee bit confused.
I live in Toowoomba and I am surprised there are others on Ancestry who have their trees blocked.  I know of two other people doing the Dash/Howard tree and I didn't think there was
was anyone else.  If my rellied knew what I have found out about the family I would probably be strung up!

Right...place of birth was Golden Point [I think] and crossed out.

The birth was on 11 Jan 1856 and registered on 1 Feb 1856 so possibly the 1 m refers to Hellen.

I wonder if Isabella 'moved in' with Charles James SMITH after the death of William H EASON and then married him in 1857.  I find it a bit odd that Charles James SMITH, farmer, Ballan, was the informant.

He did his own writing on the registration form too. ;D

This couple went on to have ten children.

Insolvent as a baker in Prahran in 1875 Jas Chas SMITH

This is about an inquest in Sale where Jas and wife were bakers.1895

ADDING.
1m might be previous issue 1 male.
From which "union" I am unsure.
Looking again, maybe just the word 'one'
