Email hacking help, please!

As stated above the ability to have a different "reply" address is a standard feature. The user can set it in their account themselves. If the account has been hacked then they should simply update their password and reset the "reply" address. (While considering changing to a more secure email provider)

You can always reply to both addresses by using the "reply all" option in your email reader.

It's actually an @btinternet.com address that he's got

and

I have no idea why he thinks that his account has been hacked.  All I know is he told me that it had.

Even if you only suspect someone has accessed your email you really should log in to your account and change the password before the hacker does it and locks you out of your own account
