This I believe to be Anna Lisa Pehrsdotter's birth - 28 July 1811: Kråksmåla C:1 (1760-1818) Bild 179 / sid 349 (AID: v39949.b179.s349, NAD: SE/VALA/00193)

Her family: Kråksmåla AI:2 (1813-1819) Bild 144 / sid 271 (AID: v23044.b144.s271, NAD: SE/VALA/00193)

Pehr and Peter are known to be interchangeable in Sweden at this time.

Hi Ian:

Can you translate the top part of both pages?  I had Anna's mother as Sanna Persdotter. And  I had Anna born in December 1811 as illegitimate, but I could be wrong. I had found a birth record for a Susanna that matched up with the date of her birthday in 1784, but I wasn't sure I had the right person.

Hopefully this link works is I am trying this on my iPad. Let me know.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

"Sara är blind och har af fattigmedlen.
Lisa och Sannas fader hette Per Gustafsson och var broder till Nils Gustafsson."

Sara is blind and has welfare support for being poor.
Lisa and Sanna's father was called Per Gustafsson and was the brother of Nils Gustafsson.

I must add that I cannot be sure of my findings to do with Nils and Anna Lisa are accurate. I think it best for you to disprove me.

Got it.

Where is says "defs"....something like that. Does it mean "hers"?

I agree with you, it has been difficult to be sure on these two people. But you have much more experience than I do in this, so I really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Paul

The word is "dess" and yes it means "her" or "his" depending on whom it relates to.
