Hi Ian:

I don't need this whole article translated...but it mentions Emma.  I see dollar amounts and I think it has to do with a church.  Can you give me a general sense of what it is about?  Thanks,  Paul

Hi

It is about a Women's Association in the church of Quinsigamond called Tabita. It has 56 female members. It states that the income was $401.70 and expenditures were $351.12 with a profit of $50.58. Emma was re-elected as treasurer.

Hi Ian:

Here is the birth record of my 2nd great grandmother Christina (and her twin Johanna), born out of wedlock to Anna Sara Magnusdotter, on 4 may 1840 in Ullasjö:

https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v5682.b51.s99&page=main/index

Her mother married Anders Josef Johansson some years later, but I don't believe he was the father of the twin girls.

Can you tell me anything from the birth record?  Where they were born?  Also, any clue to who their father was?

Thanks,

Paul

That's what I thought, but wanted to run it by you in case there was some other way to find out. Thanks for taking a look at it for me.

Ian:

Here is a link for a bio of Josef Johansson Björn who is my 3rd great grandfather:

https://www.geni.com/people/Joseph-Björn/6000000039942057945

It looks like he was a soldier and possibly a doctor (homeopathic).

I have his birth record (13 Feb 1812) and death record (16 Feb 1899) in Ambjörnarp.  I have been able to follow him from 1828 on in the household books, but I cannot find him pre-1828.

https://app.arkivdigital.se/production/index.html?aid=v14978.b45.s38&page=main/index

I believe his parents were Johannes Magnusson and Kjerstin Pehrsdotter. He might have been born at Stjärnebo farm.

Can you take a look?  I would like to find where he lived between birth and 1828.  And I would like to know if I can find out more about his being a soldier and his interest in medicine.  Also, any clue to where his parents were pre-1828 (maybe living with him?) would be great.

Thanks,  Paul
