ALEXANDER DAVIDSON - Canada or United States
« on: Monday 17 July 17 21:21 BST (UK) »
Alexander Davidson, born 8 November 1885, in Edinburgh Scotland, parents are William George Davidson and Henrietta Preston.
I am searching for a marriage or death certificate for Alexander.  I do not have a middle name.  He could possibly have migrated to Toronto Canada, either staying in Canada or crossing the border into the U.S.
He was in the 1901 census in Scotland and then disappeared.  I have been unable to find him anywhere, though I do have a ship's manifest, S.S. Merion sailing from Liverpool on March 25, 1908 which is a possibility.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

The fellow arriving in 1908 on the Merion gives his father's name as Robert so I guess he's not "yours".

Sister named Margaret Kerr Davidson married in Ottawa in 1914 to George Winton.  Have you chased her info around to see if Alexander pops out?

I found a death registration for Alexander in Morningside, Edinburgh on Scotlands People. He died 29 Apr 1920 from tuberculosis. He was single.

If you PM me your email address I will send you a copy of the registration.
