Photo Identification New Zealand and the UK
« on: Wednesday 19 July 17 09:04 BST (UK) »
I am a volunteer at our local museum (Warkworth & District Museum) and a few days ago we had a large quantity of photographs given to us by one of the local charity shops.
They came in to the shop with a large quantity of furniture, possibly from a deceased estate and the photos where not discovered until later when it was sorted and cleaned.
Unfortunately the stuff was donated anonymously, the photos were kept thinking that they would be missed and they would return for them but months went by and they eventually decided to donate them to museum thinking that they may have some local significance.
Unfortunately none of the pictures are named, and there are hundreds of them, some of the later ones could be local (NZ) but the majority are from the UK and some possibly from the USA or South America.
The bulk appear to be from the early 1900s', Taken by professional photography studios in London and Plymouth to name a few. The photos are too large to put on here and have been posted on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/warkworthanddistrictmuseum/.

Two of the pictures are on Porcelain tiles and the last picture is of the label on the back of them and they are the male and female head and shoulders portraits.
Any clues would be appreciated.

Regards

Alan
