Edith Attwooll Stone White c.1837
« on: Wednesday 19 July 17 17:27 BST (UK) »
Edith was born about 1837 in Portland, Dorset, daughter of Robert and Susan White.    In 1871 she married Thomas Stinton in Southampton.  I can't find Edith and her parents on census returns prior to her marriage.     Grateful  for help, please.

I'm also intrigued by her full name which suggests it was taken from earlier ancestors

Hi glad to have helped, one puzzle you may wish to sort out is what was the relationship of Grace ( Atwool Stone) White aged 6 in the 1841 census with John 60 and Martha 55 Whitby in Wyke Regis?
The only likely marriage is John Whitby to Martha Williams 7th September 1807 Wyke Regis Witnesses J Sandson and Priscilla Williams?
