What does Cornelious say?.......
« on: Wednesday 19 July 17 20:30 BST (UK) »
I've cropped a copy of the 1911 census for my Gt grandfather Cornelius Harrington.

His spelling, handwriting and form-filling are far from confident but I can make out most of the things he has written except under the "Nationality" heading.

I would expect it to say "British" but to me it looks like "Rominy"

Would anyone care to take a guess?
Davis - Berkshire & London
Sutcliffe - Yorkshire & London
Harrington - Ireland and London
Fuller - Cambridgeshire and Essex
Waldron/Waldren - Devon & London
Frisby and Lee - Leicestershire
Hollingsworth - Essex
Williams - Ireland? and London
Ellis, Reed & Temple - London
Lane - ?
Surplice/Surplus - Cambridgeshire
Elwood - Cambridgeshire

It looks as though he has his nationality - British Subject in the birthplace column.
