Starting again with the family in Plymouth  ;D

I think this is the other Patrick and Mary

1881 2195/16/27

Patrick b Kerry and Mary b Cork with several children including Michael, Bridget and Julia - all children born Ireland.
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q27X-SZTJ

The original has Kerry, Ireland - there is no mention of Montgomeryshire as in F S

1891 has a Julia Wallace - pauper.

Thanks Rosie.

As I mentioned on the other thread, something seems to happens as some family become residents in the workhouse.

I didn't carry on with this because when I asked for confirmation Teresa continues to write about the Newcastle family.  I am not sure she has read back over this thread and checked any of the posts.
It seems a bit pointless to carry on searching if it is not agreed that it is the right family. We have both done that with the Newcastle group.  :)

I will wait to see what Teresa posts. I wonder what the address is on the marriage certificate and the witness names.

I have sent a message to a relative who has the same Julia Wallace as the mother of Joseph Anthony Evans Which is a brother to my grandmother Mary Gertrude Evans so will have to wait to hear from her.

Hi Guys
This is from the relative of my grandmother Mary Gertrude Hallam (nee Evans) daughter of Julia Wallace and Thomas Evans this relative is the daughter of Joseph Antony Evans 1913-1990

"Julia was my grandmother, my dad was Joseph.  I  am not sure if Julia was born here (UK) or in Ireland, I have seen one Julia born in Newcastle.  Patrick her father was from Ireland, but he gave different places of birth on the censuses, and so far I have not been able to find him.  I also do not know if he was married before he came to England or whether he married a local girl believed to be called Mary.  Julia died in 1952 four years after her husband Thomas who she married in 1893 in Plymouth."

Thanks for the update.

What are your thoughts on the Wallace family in Plymouth, Teresa?

Do you have witness names, Patrick's occupation and any addresses from the marriage certificate?
