Elizabeth Ellett and Thomas Foreman

Hi I Hope someone can help me here.

I'm looking at a copy of the parish register of Thannington which shows the marriage of my ancestors Thomas Foreman and Elizabeth Ellet. They were married on 4th October 1660 and the entry reads:

"October 4th, 1660 were married Thomas Foreman bachelor, and Elizabeth Ellet virgin, both of the Parish of Petham"

I've found Thomas in Petham but I can't find any christening for Elizabeth, nor any other Ellets there at all. The only Elizabeth I can find is in Buckland nr Dover.

Does anyone know how far this is from Thannington or Petham? Could she have moved from there to Petham?

Family search has a few other possibilities

Hi there

Yes this entry is on Findmypast as well. It is on the same date as the Thannington marriage. I haven't checked the Bishopsbourne PRs yet but I assume they were not married in two parishes.

Something to double check tomorrow.
