John Henry Wilkes (20 yrs) labourer, born Liverpool, England.  The problem is there was no marriage cert so I can't ascertain for sure who his parents were... My best guess has been Henry John Wilkes wife Harriet White of Liverpool.  But that's my best shot at it so far.

OH OH LOOK WHAT just popped up on Ancestry!!!  My Aunt has mentioned a Dorothy but we could never find a record for that child.

This looks like Dorothy's marriage and death in New Zealand.

[Note:  Surname is  > S A N D I F OR D > (rather than SANDFORD).   The couple were residing in Masterton in 1911 - thereafter moved to a number of other locations.  Last address for Dorothy was 139 Cambridge Terrace in Lower Hutt (Wellington) in 1981.

Yeah - he was very young!  I wonder what happened to him - perhaps the stint in the Aussie jail was too hard on him. 

Thanks re the info for Dorothy, that is now validated by my Aunt's recollections.

So.. I only have to locate the mysterious John Henry Wilkes or Henry Morris and it's full circle:)
