lots of Margaret McLaughlan mention on the family search site.  Sometime they put Mc or M' might have been put on just Laughlan

Rathmore, thanks for responding.

Yes, I have a copy of the Scottish microfilmed birth record for Sarah Ann Pollock  -- that's the record with the confusing place of marriage for her parents, listed as "Strabin, Co. Donegal". So far the options seem to be either Strabane at the Tyrone/Donegal border or Upper or Lower Strabinna in SW Donegal. I've know that the parents are Daniel Pollock and Margaret McLaughlan and that they married 1868/1869, possibly 16 May 1868.   

As you see in the previous responses from Elywn and aghadowey, online searches for the record don't seem very promising.  Maybe if I were in the area I could look at records from the local sources, just a bit tough from here in the US and not knowing exactly where to look for records.
