Finding Grandmother after 1911
« on: Saturday 22 July 17 18:33 BST (UK) »
Mary Frances Mosedale born Netherfield, Notts 1887, died Lincoln 1968

I know she was in service in 1911 at Mulgrave Castle North Yorks.  She was unmarried when she gave birth in 1920 to my father, who was brought up by her parents.

By chance,I have found her today in the Bracebridge electoral roll (Spring 1922) with her Aunt's husband, but not the Aunt!  However Alfred and Clara Leeson (aunt & uncle) are together on the Autumn 1921 and Spring 1923 electoral rolls.

So 2 questions please.  Is there anywhere I might find Mary Frances between 1911 and 1921 and where was Clara Agnes Leeson in 1922?

Thanks for any thoughts!

She probably will not appear on an electoral register as most women did not have the vote at that time

Frances M MOSEDALE b. 1887 appears in the 1939 register with an Alfred LEESON.

1939 Register information is restricted to the free search.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Sorry Geoff, I should have said I knew where she was from 1931. She looked after him until he died and then stayed in the house on Brant Road on the Waddington boundary, until about 1960. I used to love going to visit in the 50s and walking out the back gate up to the railway line, when it was all open land!
