Hi, I found a baptismal record in Aberdeen, for James Wilson 27/12/1810,parents James Wilson and Margaret Harper. Also there, were John Mercer (mason) and Charles Wilson (farmer). Would anybody be able to help me find a link between Charles and James Wilson.Thank you,Marj

Can you either post the image of the baptism, or a complete transcription?
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

On your other thread in the other forum you say that they were a Catholic family. The Rev Dr James Ross, who baptised James Wilson in 1810, was the minister of the Church of Scotland in Aberdeen, which is Presbyterian Protestant, so if this is the same family, when did they turn Catholic?
