We have just come across an ashtray with the heading description on it. Possible to do with Col. John Body of Wittersham. Does anyone know any details please?

Kent Buffs refers to the Buffs (East Kent) Regiment - as it became known after the Childers Reforms of 1881.

John Body was Lt-Colonel of the 5th Buffs East Kent Regiment.

My grandfather, Capt. Edward Boulding, was a friend of Col. Body, as they served together in Mespotamia in 1/5th Buffs regiment. I am sure to have some photographs of Col. Body somewhere with his men.
