Thanks for all the information, I hope some of it links to my family somewhere along the line, I havent been able to get any further with the Brophey family unfortunately, and just hope someone comes across this post who's had better luck than me with Irish research of this family

have you found any clues as to Margaret's parents, or siblings since you started your search - e.g. from marriage record or census returns ?

Also, do you know what denomination your Brophy family was ?

There were  a number of Brophy families in the area, and these clues might help narrow it down..
