Although I cannot help with this specifically, I remember at the time of receiving my father's WW2 records, the accompanying letter did state, something like, if there was anything I did not understand, they would do their best to help.

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.
 
It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.
