Thank you for all of this. We just need to find what became of Elizabeth, and her early life.
Lipman family of Aldgate - ends with Lewis Lipman (d. 1871, Bethnal Green), son of John Lipman 'late of Glasgow' (1856)
McGregor family of Fodderty - ends with Alexander McGregor (b. 1765, Fodderty), son of Murdoch McGregor and Kate Stewart

Yes, but there is nothing immediately obvious, as you have found!. So the next step is to find out as much as we can about her family and their movements etc, in order to try and pick up a clue somewhere as to what happened to Elizabeth. These mysteries sometimes take years to resolve, and the answers can pop up from the most surprising angles sometimes! Leave no stone unturned, is the motto of Family Historians!!!

Thanks. So William died at Boreham, not Chelsmford?

They were living in Boreham at time of 1891 census, only a few months previously, so it isn't so much of a surprise?

(Boreham is in Chelmsford Registration District. It will be the registration district that appears in the gro index, if that is where you got Chelmsford from)

No it isn't. Sorry, my knowledge of Essex is relatively limited, other than the places my dad has mentioned and family birthplaces.

There is a marriage in Fulham in 1910 of a Hetty Goddard to a  James Henry Shrout or a Frederick Windsor, but can't find out anything further.
